Kiwanis International had a float in the Tournament of Roses Parade today….Hooray for Kiwanis!!  Looking forward to a terrific year.

O’Fallon 4th of July Parade

This is to let all the members know that we are going to have a float in O’Fallon’s 4th parade. If anyone is interested in participating in this event please let us know. John is in charge of this event. Here are some participants from the last time we did this.

Upcoming Pancake Day

Pancakes! Pancakes! Get them while they’re Hot
The Kiwanis Club of O’Fallon is having their 52nd Annual Pancake and Sausage Day
 on November 12th at Holy Cross Lutheran Church.   Pancakes and sausages will be on the griddle early so we can start your day right.  They will be served with coffee, milk or orange juice.  If you need your pancakes to go, containers will be available for you to take them with you! In addition to you terrific pancakes, Kiwanis members will have a variety of home-made baked goods for you to purchase. Surprise your co-workers, friends or your family by bringing them something great to eat. Join us on Pancake Day. 

The tickets are Adults $7.00 and Children (6-12) $4.00.  There will be a 50/50 Raffle, and a Silent Auction.  Any questions contact Don at 636-724-8408 or Greg 636-541-3597.

Scholarships Awarded

Members of the Kiwanis Club of O’Fallon gave three local students a helping hand this fall by awarding each student a scholarship of $1,000 towards his or her college education. Kiwanis Vice-President, Martha Radginski and Treasurer, Don Schappe presented these scholarships during a Kiwanis Club lunch meeting. Jerry Brennecke III is a graduate from Fort Zumwalt West High School. He will attend Missouri S and T and Major in Engineering. Rose Ritter graduated from Fort Zumwalt North High School. She will attend the University of Missouri, St. Louis and major in nursing. Allyx Davenport graduated from Fort Zumwalt South High School. She will attend Truman University and major in Pre-Med (Nursing). The Kiwanis Club of O’Fallon meets weekly at J.J.’s Restaurant in O’Fallon and works in the community raising money to help youth locally and around the world.
