O’Fallon Kiwanis Club members, families and friends ate out last night at Cappuccinos in O’Fallon to raise money for the Kiwanis Eliminate Campaign. We are saving babies by getting their mothers vaccinated against Tetanus. We saw many familiar faces last night. Abby Hall, our Fort Zumalt West High School Key Club Advisor, was there with her husband and children too. Way to go everyone!!
When Ft. Zumwalt West High School Key Club held it’s meeting on Monday, November 23rd at 2:30 pm, Martha Radginski dropped in for a visit. Members and advisors (Abby Hall & Jamie Becker) were having a Happy Thanksgiving Potluck of snacks. This is a picture of a bulletin board in the hall that tells about Key Club and is inviting students to join.
November 24th was Picture Day for all Clubs so Key Club members were reminded to be prepared to come at their assigned time. The group has selected a design for a t-shirt for their club. It says “Key Club – The Key is Caring”. The Club is involved in the following projects for the end of 2015:
- Christmas cards to give to the Salvation Army
- “Giving Tree” – members are pairing up to buy gifts to give to needy families (tree is in their lobby)
- Friends of Jaguars – members are giving clothing, groceries or gift cards to needy families of students within their school
- New heights Tutoring & Mentoring Program – members are donating items for kids to be able to buy things for Christmas for their families

O’Fallon Kiwanis President Martha Radginski plans to head over and eat some pancakes before the evening meeting of the Kiwanis Club this Thursday (6:30-7:30 pm at J.J.’s). Martha says she’s going to eat pancakes with the Builder’s Club and then go to J.J.’s for dessert. What a deal! Hope to see you there.
Members of the O’Fallon Kiwanis Club like to support the Clubs they sponsor in area schools. Students in Fort Zumwalt South Middle School Builder’s Club are collecting holiday cards for men and women in the military through the American Red Cross program called “Holiday Cards for Heroes”. Kiwanis Club members had a table with cards and supplies to create holiday cards by those who attended their Annual Pancake & Sausage Day on November 11th. Around 35-40 cards were created during the day.
O’Fallon Kiwanis Club members had breakfast today, August 22nd, at Fort Zumwalt North Middle School. The Builder’s Club has their first fundraiser of the school year – a Pancake Breakfast. Well, you know how much Kiwanis members LOVE pancakes….
Right away we could see that this was a fun event. Pancakes were flipped into the air and you had to catch them with your plate. If the pancake landed on the floor, you’d just try again and they had a clean up crew ready to clear away the “floor cakes”. Everyone had a great time!
All of us did our best to catch those pancakes onto our plates….Go Don & Jackie!!
Builder’s Club members were washing tables and clearing off plates when their guests were finished eating. They also were talking to other students about joining their Builder’s Club. What a great way to get new members!
Martha, the Cougar Mascot, Tom and Don were caught in these pictures. We know Greg and John came too. There may have been other Kiwanis members we didn’t see. Thanks to everyone for supported our Builder’s Club group at Ft. Zumwalt North Middle school. We look forward to supporting all of our Service Leadership groups
